What Raabta stores about you, why, and what you can change.

Your sign-in details from Google, Apple or your email address (an account ID and email address).
Your date of birth, name, gender, city, photos and the profile answers you choose to give.
Your likes, matches, chat messages, community posts, reports and blocks.
If you add a chaperone: their email address.

Your religion, sect, religious practice and ethnicity are stored because you choose to add them to your profile, so the people you might marry can see them and filter by them.
You can change or remove these answers at any time in Profile, Edit profile.

Every new profile takes a live selfie, to stop fake profiles and fraud. Amazon Web Services checks it in Ireland, to confirm you are a real person and that your face matches your profile photos.
To stop anyone having a second account, Amazon also compares your selfie with the faces of existing members, and keeps a pattern of your face (numbers, not the photo) for future checks. A match of 99% or more stops sign-up. Your face pattern is deleted when you delete your account.
We do not keep the selfie. We keep only the result: passed or failed, a confidence score, and when the check was done.
Every photo is screened automatically (also by Amazon, in Ireland) before other people can see it.

If you are looking for marriage, you have a voice call with the AI Bureau when you sign up. The call runs through ElevenLabs, which turns speech into text and gives the AI its voice.
OpenAI's AI reads your profile answers, filters, call and feedback to write notes about you, score possible introductions, write introductions and answer "Ask about them" questions. The person you are introduced to can ask the AI about what you said in your call.

Your account, photos and messages are stored in London with our hosting provider, Supabase.
Emails (sign-in codes and chaperone emails) are sent through Resend.
Payments go through Apple. RevenueCat tells us whether a payment or subscription went through; we never see your card details.
We do not show adverts, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.

If you add a chaperone and they confirm, your matches see a "chaperone present" label, and your chaperone gets a weekly email copy of your chats.
If someone you match with has a chaperone, their chaperone receives a copy of your chat with them. You will always see the label first.

You can see, correct or delete your information, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, messages and posts. We keep a scrambled marker of banned or under-18 sign-ins so they cannot simply rejoin, and a record of reports for safety.
